More importantly, the cases that have been filed have had a 50% success rate and several cases have been awarded over $10 million dollars. Family Responsibilities Discrimination (FRD) encompasses pregnancy discrimination, discriminatory conduct aimed at mothers or fathers, and discrimination directed at workers with family caregiving responsibilities. |

| Z całego świata | Z całego świata | 2010-07-05 Women post highest-ever levels of business school applications and GMAT, surveys show By Ross Geraghty More women than ever before are seeing business school and corporate careers as an option, according to two recent influential surveys of global MBA candidates. The QS TopMBA.com Applicant Survey, which received responses from MBA candidates at the QS World MBA Tour in 2009, and the GMAC Alumni Perspectives Survey 2010, from the same period, show startlingly similar results. According to the QS Survey, a record 41% of attendees at their World MBA Tour were women, continuing an upward trend that has occurred over recent years. Meanwhile the GMAC report shows that 40% of its GMAT (General Management Admissions Test) takers were women, the actual number peaking over 100,000 for the first time ever. |

In changes announced in the 2010 Federal Budget, the Labor Government is investing $731 million over five years to deliver a Paid Parental Leave scheme for the first time. From 1 January 2011, eligible parents will receive taxable payments at the rate of the Federal Minimum Wage for up to 18 weeks. This will be paid for by the government, not businesses. |

| Europa | Wielka Brytania | 2010-05-10 Massive gulf between parties on women’s equality The Fawcett Society have released the results of a survey of parliamentary candidates, including the party leaders, asking whether they would support action on women’s inequality in their constituencies and nationally.Of the 3 major parties 23.1 per cent of Labour candidates and 19.9 per cent of Lib Dems and 2.6 per cent of the Conservatives committed their support. Candidates were asked to say yes or no to whether they would support local and national action on tackling the gender pay gap, improving support for women rape victims and assessing the impact of deficit cutting proposals on women. Both Gordon Brown and Nick Clegg are amongst those candidates that answered yes to all three questions. David Cameron responded with the Tories policy position in the relevant areas. |
